The three pieces at the top were inspired by the photos taken by my father in Canada's far north in the early 1950's.  After considerable research, and with the help of Cree journalist Paul Seesequasis, I was able to make contact with several of the individuals in the photos (or their descendants) and sent them copies of the photos.  I also sent them other original versions of the paintings shown here.

 

The bottom piece is a crayon rubbing of a NWT license plate sent to me as a gift by one of the individuals referred to above.
