This piece was created in honour of the Afzaal family, who were senselessly targeted and killed on a London street corner in June 2021.  Its intent is also to offer support to the London Muslim community, to shed light on the broader issue of racial and cultural injustice in our country, and to offer hope for a future of greater understanding among all of us.

The work is comprised of thousands of pieces cut from over one hundred photographs taken of tributes left at the site of the tragedy and at the the mosque the family attended.
